No doubt most people who've switched to Mac computers from the PC world are familiar with the CTRL + ALT + DEL command. So if I'm terminaled into a machine running VI Client from my Macbook Pro, when I hit CTRL-FN-OPT-DEL, I get the standard Win 2k3 CTRL-ALT-DEL dialog (from the box running VI Client) as well as the message from VI Client asking me to use CTRL-ALT-INS, which is in fact impossible for me to do. INSERT is not a key represented in the OS X world. ![]() This function is regularly abbreviated as Ctrl-Alt-Del, and urgent it forces a gentle reboot on any Windows-based system. Hence, the question approximately whether or not the operation of Control Alt Delete (the three finger salute) can be executed on a MacBook arises.
